Having recently returned from the bright sunlight of the Middle East, Emma has been struck by the curious subtle vibrancy of an afternoon in the Warwickshire countryside.

This landscape series began in the early months of 2022 and depicts the changing colours and light from winter to spring in and around Kenilworth. The canvases are underpainted in Cadmium orange to provide the vibrancy peeking through the marks of nature, even in the coldest of months.
