Lawrence Storey is an artist and teacher.  His art is a personal and emotional response to life events, influenced by the abstract expressionist movement. Lawrence creates art on art, using posters and similar found objects to serve as the initial canvases for his work. He integrates the found images with paint and other materials to create a fresh visual narrative.

 

Lawrence recently completed his Fish series. Fish from a Venetian market are painted on place mats recovered from a food festival held in the Italian village of Cardoso. Herbs and spices are used within the images to bring authenticity to the flesh of the fish.

 

He currently works out of his loft apartment in Coventry, UK, where he sells his art and undertakes commissions.
